The theme of the 10th annual conference is "Focus on the Future." Individual sessions will focus on the Global Pork Industry in Perspective, Change is on the Horizon, Production and Cost Management, and the Swine Industry and Consumer Perception. Featured speakers include Dennis DiPietre (KnowledgeVentures LLC), Casey Neill (Pig Improvement Company), Bob Morrison (University of Minnesota), Hans Rotto (Innovative Agricultural Solutions LLC), Terry Whiting (Manitoba Agriculture and Food), Rudolf Wiedmann (LSZ - Baden-Wurttemburg, Germany), Stacie Sopinka (Loblaw Brands Ltd), and Ken McEwan (University of Guelph – Ridgetown Campus). More detailed program information is available on the conference website. The goals of the conference are to provide a platform to accelerate the implementation of new technologies in commercial pork production and to facilitate the exchange of ideas within the swine industry.
