Applied Animal and Public Health Research and Extension Symposium Seeks Presenters
July 30, 2014 —
Have you worked on a project or developed resources related to animal or public health recently? Would you like to share it with an avid audience? Coordinators for the 10th Annual Applied Animal and Public Health Research and Extension Symposium are seeking presenters for the upcoming symposium.
This event is sponsored by the American Association of Extension Veterinarians and will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 from 3:00 - 6:00pm in Kansas City, MO (coincides with the American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians/US Animal Health Association Annual Meeting). Presenters will be given 15 minutes to summarize a project that highlights animal or public health topic applicable to an audience of veterinarians involved in extension, regulatory, academia, and diagnostics. There will be 5 minutes allowed for Q&A.
Even though there is no funding available for presenters, don't let that stop you from sending in an abstract to the moderators! Please submit them by August 4, 2014. Authors of abstracts selected for presentation will be notified by August 18, 2014. While you are not required to register for USAHA or AAVLD if you are only attending/presenting at this session, we highly recommend you consider registering and attending the rest of this excellent conference.
Abstracts can be any length deemed necessary. Format the body of the abstract with one-inch margins using Arial 10-point font. Center and bold the title. Center the name of the author(s) below the title with initials followed by last name. The location of author(s) should be placed directly below the author(s) name. Superscript numbers may be used to designate different locations for authors. Abstract should be accurate and complete, and will be considered final upon submission.
Send your abstract as an e-mail attachment (MS Word compatible file) to Dr. Bob Wills, Mississippi State University, wills@cvm.msstate.edu .
