Position Announcement: Tenure-Track Assistant or Associate Professor in Molecular Virology/Viral Pathogenesis

The Department of Diagnostic Medicine/Pathobiology in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University invites applications for a 12-month, tenure-track faculty position in the area of viral pathogenesis and/or molecular virology. The position will be at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Applicants must have a PhD or DVM/PhD and possess a strong record of excellence in research related to animal or zoonotic diseases. Responsibilities include establishment of an extramurally funded research program. Teaching responsibilities include contributions to team-taught courses for veterinary and graduate students. The successful candidate will join an active research group with interests in molecular viral pathogenesis related to zoonotic and animal diseases; including access to the Biosecurity Research Institute http://www.bri.k-state.edu/, which contains BSL-3 enhanced laboratories suitable for large animal research. Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with training and experience.
